On Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre the Taste of Canada Dinner Gala featuring Chef Michael Smith will be held in the company of Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal.
The Taste of Canada Dinner Gala will take conference delegates on a culinary journey across Canada. Dishes will include ingredients grown throughout the various regions of the country; spanning from the wines of British Columbia to the seafood off the coast of Newfoundland.
Featuring Chef Michael Smith, one of Canada’s best-known chefs and host of Chef Michael’s Kitchen, Chef at Home and Chef Abroad seen on Food Network Canada, the dinner will reflect Chef Michael’s passion for simple and sustainable dishes while creating an innovative dining experience. As Prince Edward Island’s food ambassador, Chef Michael’s dishes will represent Canada’s vast agricultural offerings from coast to coast.

Tickets for this event are non-transferrable. For access, two pieces of I.D. will be required upon entry to the Taste of Canada Dinner – one piece of identification must be government issued photo I.D.

Chef Michael Smith
Food Network Host, Nutritional Activist, Food Media Producer, Innkeeper Chef Michael Smith, one of Canada’s best-known chefs, is a passionate advocate for simple, sustainable home cooking and an inspiration for families creating their own healthy food lifestyle. He’s the host of Chef Michael’s Kitchen, Chef at Home and Chef Abroad seen on Food Network Canada and in more than 100 other countries. Michael is Prince Edward Island’s food ambassador; Canada’s best selling cookbook author, an innkeeper, educator, professional chef and home cook. His tenth award winning cookbook, Real Food, Real Good, launched in September 2016 and immediately landed on the Globe and Mail bestsellers list. While Michael is a true chef at large his favourite role is Dad, at home on Prince Edward Island with his wife Chastity and his children: Gabe, Ariella and Camille! Michael is an avid map collector, long-time windsurfer and novice kite sailor.
